UVSC’s homecoming week is Nov. 26 through Dec. 1. Different organizations on campus have planned events to celebrate UVSC.

The theme for this year’s homecoming is "Goodbye UVSC," as UVSC will soon be UVU.

The Alumni Association will host the Alumni Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Centre Stage (sc108) at noon.

The luncheon is open to students who wish to show their appreciation to award recipients.

Jeff Kahn will receive the USVC Alumni Legacy Award and Marilyn Mansfield will be awarded the UVSC Wilson W. Sorensen Lifetime Achievement Award.

Former student body president, Andrew Stone, will receive the Distinguished Student Service Award. Tom Heal will be receiving the Alumni Pinnacle Award and Noelle Pikus-Pace will also be honored as last year’s Pinnacle Award winner.

The award winners are selected for their contributions to the school and showing exemplary service to UVSC.

Tickets to the luncheon are $10 and can be purchased by calling (801) 863-8179.

A reunion for all UVSC alumni will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, in the McKay Events Center. Class reunions are open to attendance for all former UVSC students.

The alumni dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Following the dinner will be a tailgate party outside the McKay Events Center in conjunction with the UVSC men’s basketball game, with the game being the last event for this year’s homecoming.
