The Seattle Seahawks at the San Francisco 49ers is always a great matchup to watch. However, this was the first time in five years that neither team was over .500 and both teams were looking to stay close to the NFC West division leading Arizona Cardinals. Marshawn Lynch looked like his old self as he rushed for 122 yards on 27 carries including a touchdown. The Seahawk defense shutdown Colin Kaepernick and the 49er offense once again and the Seahawks went on to win 20-3.

Looking through the week seven schedule, only three other games really stood out. The first is a matchup between the New York Jets and New England Patriots. The Jets are trying to prove they belong while the Patriots are playing with the attitude of us against the world. New York will put up a good fight but Tom Brady just doesn’t lose division games and the Patriots will prevail at home.

The Cowboys were the early favorite to win the NFC East, but with injuries to Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, the Giants look to be the leader of the division. Eli Manning is playing really well and despite a loss in week six to division rival Philadelphia, the Giants seem to be hitting a groove. The game is also being played in cold weather at The Meadowlands in New York so the Giants have the edge at home.

One other game to watch this weekend will be between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. In a game that features All-Pro quarterbacks Drew Brees and Andrew Luck, this game could be a shootout. It might come down to which defense could make the first stop. It is also a week in which both teams are looking to bounce back from tough losses in week six. Drew Brees always plays well inside a dome but the Colts are more explosive and will bring home the victory.
