Trespassing:

Aug. 11- An officer was dispatched to the parking garage after it was reported that two individuals were biking and skateboarding in the structure. The officer was unable to locate anyone matching the reported description.

 

Suspicious Person/Packages:

Aug. 13- Police responded to the Library after a report that a man matching the description of a previous theft suspect was on the premises. An officer made contact with the man and determined he was not the suspect of interest.

 

Unsecure Premises:

Aug. 13- An officer on patrol found that the southwest gate at the Geneva Fields and a women’s bathroom had been left unlocked. No damage to the premises was found.

 

Fire Alarm:

Aug. 14- Police responded to a fire alarm going off in the LA Building. It was determined that the alarm was accidentally triggered by construction workers who were using a torch. The system was reset and no further action was taken.

 

 

OREM CITY

 

Break-in Attempt:

Aug. 12- Someone attempted to break into an office located across the street from the Police Department. Police are checking video surveillance and will post a photo of the person responsible.

 

Under the Influence:

Aug. 18- An officer responded to the report that a tenant in an apartment building was smoking marijuana. On the scene, it was found that the report was correct. The tenant was cited and the marijuana was confiscated.
