The Good4Utah College Road Tour  will stop at Utah Valley University on Thursday, October 23 as a part of its month-long tour of Utah universities and colleges to highlight higher education and profile the higher education institutions through Utah.

ABC4 will broadcast the event live from the Student Life and Wellness Center plaza. Willy the Wolverine, the Green Man Group and the spirit squad will all be at the plaza to host the pep rally. Students are encouraged to stop by from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and wear their UVU apparel to show school spirit.

“It’s focusing on what the schools have to offer,” said Don Hudson, anchor at ABC 4.

The Student Life and Wellness Center and the culinary arts program will also be highlighted during the broadcast. ABC 4 will also talk live with President Holland, as well as a professor on campus about cancer research, and the athletic director about the sports programs.

ABC 4 partnered with Envision Utah, a group created by Governor Gary Herbert’s office to prepare people for the expected population burst. Envision Utah looks at issues dealing with jobs, water, energy and other topics.

The broadcast will be live from UVU’s campus at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
