Trying to stay organized in college is difficult—the constant to-do lists, note taking, and event going can get pretty hectic. Luckily, technology has made it easy for students to stay organized. Provided are just a few examples of organizational apps that help students stay organized.

Swoodle— Group work is a pain, but Swoodle makes it easy. Using Swoodle, students can grab documents, images, or presentations and make changes to them, while group members watch the changes being made, live on their own devices. This app also features both text and video chat, which further lowers the stress of working together.

SelfControl— Helps students stay focused and productive while in class or during studying. The SelfControl app allows users to block any site or application for a certain amount of time. Just set the timer, select a website to block—like Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat—and the app will deny access until the timer runs out. SelfControl also doesn’t allow shortening the time, even if the app is deleted or restarted. The SelfControl App can be incredibly useful for students who find themselves easily distracted by social media and help them focus more on the tasks at hand.

Clear— As college students, lists are essential to staying organized, but the number of lists can easily add up. With Clear, all lists will be synchronized into one place, which is accessible from any device. Clear takes the lists and categorizes them, cutting organizing time in half.

Venmo— An application that syncs directly with a bank account and aids in keeping finances organized. With this app, users can collect money, share payments with friends, and pay bills. Venmo allows users to easily transfer money either to or from a bank, and sends an immediate confirmation via email that payments have been received. Venmo also notifies users of upcoming bills.

Feed-ly— An app that allows students to stay connected to any kind of news, whether it be a Facebook feed or national headlines. Just choose the category of news to stay updated on and Feed-ly will organize it all into one feed and send a notification whenever something interesting appears. Staying connected through Feed-ly allows students more time to complete their to-do lists rather than spending countless hours scrolling through different news feeds.
