Kjar beat 18th-ranked Tony Mustari of Northern Colorado (4-10-1) to lift his team to a 23-16 victory for UVU (7-2). Both Kjar and coach Greg Williams attribute the win to film study and making adjustments for takedowns.

Olsen returns to lead UVU over Savannah State

Reading Time: 2 minutes Utah Valley guard Josh Olsen, who has been sidelined with a sprained ankle, made his first start since the injury and led the Wolverines to a runaway 55-39 win over Savannah State. With UVU’s leading scorer Ryan Toolson held in check with only five points, Olsen made it his duty to put the ball in the hole as he picked up the slack with 15 points to go along with four assists.

Kjar a perfect fit at UVU

The Utah Flash is a developmental basketball team whose NBA affiliates are the Utah Jazz and the Boston Celtics. After 22 games in their season, the Utah Flash are 13-9 and sitting in third place in the Western Division behind the Bakersfield Jam and the first place Idaho Stampede.

It wasn’t an easy win for the Wolverines but they did the job and put the points on the board that they needed. Sandy Wall, Robyn Fairbanks and Julie McMurray put together a total of 63 points for their 81-73 win.

Reading Time: 2 minutes UVU evens record at NDSU The Utah Valley University men’s basketball team dropped to 8-8 on the year Tuesday after a 71-98 loss at North Dakota State (13-5). NDSU is the current leader of the Summit League. Senior guard Ryan Toolson led the Wolverines with 27 points on the night and chipped in three rebounds and three assists.
