Jones made his debut with an at-bat in front of a standing ovation from the Dodger Stadium crowd.

As the clock neared quadruple zero, coach Dick Hunsaker cleared the bench allowing Toolson to revel in his final moments as a college superstar with the crowd giving him a standing ovation as he made his way to the bench.

‘Real’ Rough Start

Reading Time: < 1 minute The year after Real Salt Lake was just one win away from playing for the MLS cup, the team is now are struggling just to get on a winning track. As of June 5, RSL is 3-7-2 and things could not be going worse. Their last win came on April 25. The season started strong for RSL, winning three of their first five, but since scoring six goals against the New England Revolution they have not been able to get one in the win column.

UVU finishes on high note

All 11 games were away, the first of which was in Colorado to face Northern Colorado for a four-game series taking three out of four games.

Reading Time: < 1 minute UVU Men and Women Sweep the GWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Utah Valley University’s men’s and women’s track and field teams swept the Great West Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Houston Baptist University. The UVU women’s team won with a score of 253.

Wolverines get one win on the road

Reading Time: < 1 minute UVU set out on a four-game road trip April 10-11 and came away with one win against Northern Colorado. The game on Friday April 10 became the only victory of their trip to Colorado, an 8-7 victory. The Wolverines got the game off to a quick start scoring two runs in the top of the first inning.

Madsen has been a part of the program since the school’s first season of NCAA Division I competition in 2003 and is now the first head coach of Utah Valley University.
