UVU loses heartbreaker at WAC indoor track and field championships

Reading Time: 2 minutes After holding a commanding lead after day one on Feb. 27 over four-peat champions Grand Canyon University, the men’s team competed well individually. But, couldn’t bring the team score together for the win on day two, Feb. 28. Overall, the UVU men took second and the women took fourth at Jackson Track in Boise, Idaho.

UVU indoor track flies high in Colorado and Idaho

Reading Time: 2 minutes Following a two week break from competition the Utah Valley University track and field teams ventured to Colorado Springs on Feb. 7 for the Air Force Team Challenge. The Wolverines finished third on the men’s team and fourth for the women in a day that the feared distance squads raced at Idaho State. Several individuals shined during the weekend meet bringing continued pride to UVU.

Wolverines track and field look complete at the Ed Jacoby invite

Reading Time: 2 minutes Boise State hosted Utah Valley University and several other local teams at their annual Ed Jacoby indoor track meet on Jan. 24-25. The meet was by far the biggest so far for the Wolverines as they competed against 20 other teams. The Wolverines —who performed well over the weekend — showed that they’ll be able to compete as a complete team to potentially win the WAC championship next month.

Reading Time: 3 minutes Lynch recently finished up his final cross country season in 2019, a year where he dominated statistically. He ended the WAC season repeating in the 8K race at the WAC Championships and took home WAC Men’s Athlete of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. His victory helped the men’s team win the championship for the fifth time in seven years.

Fast times and forward thinking at the BYU indoor invitational

First, to compete against their rival in-state universities and second, to get a good idea of how things could shape up this indoor track season. The Wolverines accomplished both, leaving no doubt that the team has been working hard over the holiday season.

UVU Back on the Track at the Weber State Winter Open

With another championship in mind, the team ventured to Weber State University on Dec. 6-7, to commence their indoor season.
