Holland appointed new president

Holland as the 6th president of Utah Valley University (UVU). He is an
associate professor of Political Science at Brigham Young University.
Dr. Holland will assume his duties July 1, 2009. He succeeds President
William Sederburg, who was named Commissioner of Higher Education in
August 2008.

Tuition increase anticipated for next school year

UVU is the first higher education institution in Utah to hold the state-required hearing this year. Art students use internships to gain career experience

Faculty and staff campaign sees positive results

Reading Time: < 1 minute According to an e-mail sent by Elizabeth Hitch, Interim President, a UVU faculty and staff campaign raised a total of $164,106.99 with 63 percent of the full-time staff participating. The campaign allows faculty and staff to donate a portion of their salary or paycheck to the department and needs of their choice.

Field station offers resources to students and community

Reading Time: < 1 minute Bringing attention and recognition to the Capital Reef Field station was the goal of the celebration held in the Sorensen Center on Thursday, Feb. 19. The celebration featured many performances from live music to dances. Alongside the performances were several booths run by different organizations and a film showing pictures of the station and important related events.

Students gain practical experience from PR Firm

The course is so popular that the number of students enrolled has increased from seventeen to fifty over one semester. The course, the Wolverine Public Relations Firm, is a student-run PR firm which allows students to obtain practical knowledge and working experience of public relations by working with real clients.
