Dateline Florida

Usually on a tourist ride it’s the one driving the ship that says: “Please keep your hands and feet inside the boat at all times.” Captain Wallace “Wally” Weatherholt disobeyed his own orders as he tossed fish and marshmallows into the water to attract alligators closer to the boat for his customers. After tempting fate, an actual “Florida Gator” took advantage and Wally’s hand. Authorities tracked down the offending gator and in true “Captain Hook” fashion, they gutted him and retrieved the boat captain’s hand. Despite successful efforts in retrieval, reattachment proved to be too tall of a task. Adding insult to injury, Wally now faces up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
