Faculty and staff from the master’s of education program introduced themselves to all the students during an orientation before their class started. Packets were also handed out detailing what should be expected during the two-year program.
The 22 students enrolled in UVU’s first graduate program started their first day of class on Sept. 2. Faculty and staff from the master’s of education program introduced themselves to all the students during an orientation before their class started. Packets were also handed out detailing what should be expected during the two-year program.
Many of the students enrolled in the program are teachers at surrounding school districts. Erica Decker, a teacher at Eagle Mountain, and Tami Johnson, a teacher at Mapleton, explained that they wouldn’t allow their work-induced exhaustion to interfere with the excitement they felt upon commencing their first day in the master’s program.
