Be fed for the hungry

A hunger banquet will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. The cost is $5 or $4 with a can of food. Tickets can be purchased at Campus Connection.

To donate a can of food to get $1 off the price, take a can to the Service Learning Center and receive a voucher to take to Campus Connection. All proceeds will go to the Ouelessebougou-Utah Alliance.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Michael Minch, a professor of philosophy at UVSC. A representative from the alliance will also be speaking.

Angela Banchero-Kelleher, assistant professor of modern dance, will be performing a dance solo and Rob Carney will be reciting poetry to go along with the dance.

Each person coming to the dinner will be assigned a seat and will be given a meal that coincides with that number. Some will receive rice and beans, others pizza and others a nice dinner.
