What is your major? Concentration?
I will be receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Mangement with an emphasis in Hotel and Restaurants. I also have received my Associate of Science degree in Behavioral Science and received my Certificate of Leadership with High Distinction.

What has been your most memorable moment at UVU?
My most memorable moment at UVU has probably been the experiences I’ve had with the Presidential Leaderhsip Program. Specifically the opportunity I had to work with junior high students teaching them with the Why Try Program and also my mentor I had during my first year. The leadership program really helped me to grow as a person and I had a great time learning and figuring life out. The program really gave me a lot of opportunities both in the present and in my future that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

What is your Biggest achievement?
Graduating. I originally didn’t want to even go to college, so actually going and completing my degree is a huge accomplishment. Even more so that I am graduating Summa Cum Laude and received the Outstanding Student of the Year award from the Woodbury School of Business for Hospitality Management.

What are your plans following graduation?
I currently work in the hospitality field so I plan on working may way up and hopefully become a general manger down the road. I also have my master esthetics license so I plan on working in a spa as well following graduation. I love working with people and want to continue doing just that. Possibliy down the road going to graduate school, but I haven’t quite figured out what I really want to do just yet.

What will you miss about UVU?
I will miss all the awesome professors and faculty members that really want students to succeed and are always willing to help student grow and achieve their goals. I will also miss having the amazing opportunities that UVU offers it students as far as clubs, service opportunities, and other activities where students can be involved.

Any words of wisdom?
To those considering college or continuing on in their education, don’t ever give up on going for what you want in life; set goals and do what you need to achieve them. Take advantage of the awesome opportunities that UVU has and don’t let four years pass by without getting involved in something. UVU is a great school!
