Cross Country: UVU men, women lose tiebreakers, finish second in WAC championships

The UVU men and women of the cross country team were left heartbroken following the conclusion of the WAC championships when they both lost in a tiebreaker for first place. The Missouri-Kansas City Roos took home the men’s title, while the New Mexico State Aggies took home the women’s title. The Wolverine men finished in second place after the tiebreaker with an overall score of 42 points. The team was led by senior Tyson Lambert who finished his undefeated season with a second overall placement in the race. Cross country: Lambert makes history, finishes season undefeated

Tyson Lambert made history on Saturday morning when he won the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. Lambert became the first UVU cross country member to win every race during the regular season. The win was his fourth of the season and puts the senior as a favorite to win the WAC individual championship on Oct. 28. Lambert has been an instrumental part of the UVU men’s cross country team for the last four years. He has helped lead the Wolverines to two conference championships, and puts UVU in great position to grab its third championship in the last four years....
