The following events are reported and written as recorded by UVU Police.

Sept. 4

11:03 a.m.

A fire inspection was completed in the food services area. Several violations were found, and the director of food services was notified.

11:18 a.m.

I responded to a report of the Student Center kitchen elevator stuck with occupants trapped inside. I made contact with the occupants and verified they were not in duress. A short time later the elevator company arrived and was able to repair the elevator.

11:38 a.m.

I responded to the bookstore on report of a theft. I found a theft had occurred. I reviewed the evidence, located the suspect, and issued him a citation and court date.

Sept. 5

1:13 p.m.

Agency assist for Provo and Secret Service with dignitary detail at the airport.

Sept. 6

3:25 p.m.

I was dispatched to a hit and run accident in lot L9. I responded, made contact with the witnesses, and made contact with the victim. I later tracked down the suspect and issued a citation.

8:05 p.m.

I was dispatched to the library on an unruly employee that needed to be escorted out of the building. Officers arrived, made contact with the subject, and had them exit the building and cleared.
