HOUSTON — On the eve of the 2010 Great West Conference Soccer Tournament, the All-Conference teams have been announced and Utah Valley is well represented on the West Division team.

The Wolverines (9-8-1) placed eight players – out of 11 – on the West Division team and swept the four major awards. Senior Nicole Archibald Spencer was named Offensive Player of the Year, senior Andi Bagdan earned Defensive Player of the Year, freshman Lauren Sack was tabbed as Newcomer of the Year and Coach Brent Anderson won his second straight Coach of the Year award.

“It’s an honor for these girls and this program to be so well represented,” said Anderson. “I’m proud of the girls for having the success they’ve had. It was through hard work that they received the accolades and hopefully it will continue to pay off. We have our work cut out for us this weekend, but I think the mindset is right and we’re ready to go.”

On the All-Conference team, Bagdan and Kendra Buchanan were selected at defender, Archibald Spencer and Katey Turner at forward, Lauren Bluth and Camille Broderick at midfielder, Sack as the goalkeeper and Danielle Anderson earned the at-large selection.
