Up-and-coming UK indie-pop stars Slow Club will be releasing their first full-length debut album, “Yeah So,” with Moshi Moshi records on March 30. It is a first North American release for both the band and the label.

This album is significant to the band’s success, especially considering that they have just announced spring tour dates in the U.S., as well as a watershed first appearance at the SXSW music festival.

The band, a dynamic duo made up of Charles Watson on vocals and guitar and Rebecca Taylor on vocals, guitar and percussion, has already made headway in the UK but feels ready to appeal to a broader fanbase by releasing their clever but simple tunes in the U.S. Their music is part indie and part folk, similar to bands such as Bright Eyes and Rilo Kiley. And like their big-time counterparts, their musical brilliance will surely blow your mind and kick your ass.

They claim a wide variety of musical influences, ranging from Rod Stewart to Leonard Cohen. With tracks like “There is No Good Way to Say I’m Leaving You” and “Giving Up on Love,” romantic dilemmas become a common theme throughout the band’s upcoming album.

“I Was Unconscious, it Was a Dream,” is a phenomenal track for its marvelous lyrics and remarkable vocals. The entire album is jam-packed with upbeat, catchy tunes that make it all but impossible to not sing along. Keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming album and performances as they make headway within the music scene here in the United States.
