Get groovy!

Get groovy!

This weekend you have a good excuse to strap on some bell-bottoms, slip on platform shoes, and get funky. Not that you can’t do this every weekend, but this weekend in particular The Scera is showing the musical Disco Fever.

Tonight and tomorrow are your last opportunities to see this disco extravaganza. The musical is about a young fellow named Jack Green, who is a busboy stricken with a case of disco fever. The trouble is he doesn’t have the groove he needs to prove himself as a superstar at the Disco Inferno nightclub where he happens to work. At least not until he meets Lady Marmalade, a persuasive devil’s advocate who promises Jack stardom and disco groovyness on one condition—he forfeit his soul.

This musical will feature more than 30 hits from the 70’s, including “I Will Survive,” “Play That Funky Music White Boy,” and “Celebration.” Additionally, there will be costume contests during the shows.

So get souped-up in your most dangerous disco ensemble and party hard at The Scera like it’s 1979—because it sort of is!
