The lady Wolverines were anchored by back-to-back 40 point games by Robyn Fairbanks last week, both against New Jersey Institute of Technology. In the second game, Julie McMurray recorded the first triple-double in school history with 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

In the first game, which was the final regular season game on Feb. 28, the V pulled through for a 94-86 win over NJIT. Robyn Fairbanks scored a season high of 41 points to go along with 14 rebounds, 11 of which were defensive.

A few days later, Fairbanks had her second straight 40-point game as the V won its opener of the Division I Independent Championship, 75-66, over NJIT.

The Wolverines kept the lead the entire game and shot a school record 63.3 percent.
After the first half, UVU had a nine-point lead. The Wolverines stormed back onto the court to finish the game and continued the strong team play they are known for.
Sandy Wall also contributed high numbers. Wall scored 25 points, 13 of which were in the first half alone. Wall’s points included four 3-pointers.

Julie McMurray kept up with her consistency in the first game by putting 13 points on the board, six rebounds, and five assists.
Asumi Nakayama continued to be the leading distributor on the team, adding 12 assists in the victory.

Jordyn Bowen, who has been injured most the season, played in just her second game this season and hit her first basket of the year, draining a 3-pointer for the Wolverines.
