Assistant hockey coach fatally shot in Sandy

Sandy police are investigating the fatal shooting of UVSC assistant hockey coach Kenneth Dolezar.
A witness to the shooting said Dolezar was arguing with another man near Dolezar’s SUV parked in the parking lot at the Village Inn restaurant at 150 W. 10600 S. near the South Towne shopping center.
Witnesses said Dolezar, 50, held his hands up and took a few steps back before the suspect shot him two or three times.
The suspect reportedly drove away form the scene in Dolezar’s white Lincoln Navigator. Police said the vehicle was found but the suspect has not been apprehended.
