Sept. 25: FIRE ALARM – UVSC police responded to a fire alarm in the Computer Science building. An emergency generator that was being tested had filled a mechanical room with smoke.

Sept. 26: MEDICAL – A 56-year-old male reportedly suffered from a seizure. The patient was evaluated and released on scene by Orem paramedics.

Sept. 27: ASSAULT – A 28-year-old male was arrested for an assault in which he grabbed a 20-year-old female and would not release her. The male has a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 26.

Sept. 28: THEFT – A UVSC police officer responded to Southern Utah University where an employee was in possession of stolen property that belonged to UVSC. The UVSC officer worked closely with SUU police for three days and was ultimately able to recover the stolen property. The SUU employee was charged with two counts of theft, $300-$1000 in property, and will be arraigned in the Orem Court on Oct. 29.

Oct. 3: FIGHT – Two 21-year-old females were issued citations after getting into a fight while watching a game behind the Education building. Kristina Kopsel of Provo was charged with Assault and Kari Weiss of Provo was charged with Disorderly Conduct. Both are scheduled for an initial court appearance on Nov. 5, 2007.

Oct. 3: MEDICAL – A 34-year-old female collapsed in the Liberal Arts building.  The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Oct. 5: GAS LEAK – UVSC and Orem emergency personnel responded to the MATC on a report of a gas leak. Upon their arrival, it was discovered that two gas burners had been turned on in the kitchen and the pilot lights were blown out. The building was evacuated and locked down until the initial investigation could be completed.

Oct. 8: TRAFFIC ACCIDENT – A vehicle backed into a motorcyclist in parking lot E. The driver of the motorcycle suffered minor injuries.

Oct. 8: AGENCY ASSIST – A UVSC officer responded to 273 S. 800 West to back an Orem officer on a trespass in progress.

Oct. 9: TRAFFIC ACCIDENT – Two vehicles backed into each other in parking lot H.
 
Oct. 10: MEDICAL – A 13-year-old male fell and broke his arm while rollerblading down 800 South. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Oct. 11: AGENCY ASSIST – UVSC Police responded to Hampton Inn to assist Orem Police with a suicidal female. The intoxicated woman was taken into protective custody and transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

Oct. 14: FALSE INFO – A 17-year-old male was charged with giving False Information to a Police officer after asking the officer for a ride. The juvenile provided the officer with a name of a person who turned out to have a warrant. When the officer advised the juvenile he had a warrant for his arrest, the juvenile stated that he gave him a false name. Further investigation determined the juvenile lied because he was supposed to be on House Arrest and was in violation of his probation.

Oct 18: SEARCH WARRANT – UVSC Police served a search warrant on a residence in Orem after a MacBook Pro laptop valued at $2300 was stolen from the Bookstore the day before.  The laptop was recovered early on the morning of the 19th along with the suspect being arrested.  An 18-year-old male was booked into the Utah County Jail and charged with Felony Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
